Association of Legal Administrators
The association’s mission is to:
- Promote and enhance the competence and professionalism of all members of the legal management team
- Improve the quality of management in law firms and other legal service organizations
- Represent professional legal management and managers to the legal community and to the community at large
The primary resource for legal managers is the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) which has supported the efforts of legal management since 1971. ALA is an international organization comprised of over 10,000 members in the United States and over 30 other countries.
Depending on the size of the law firm or legal department, ALA members’ responsibilities can range from directing the overall day-to-day operation of the organization to managing specific functional areas such as finance, technology, human resources, practice development, marketing and facilities.
The Western and Central New York Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators is a separate legal entity from the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA). ALA licenses the use of its name, mark, logos and other protected properties to chapters that are in good standing. ALA disclaims all liability or responsibility whatsoever for the actions, representations and liabilities of the Western and Central New York Chapter, specifically including those of any nature whatsoever arising from or out of the content of other features related to the Western and Central New York Chapter website. In no event shall ALA be deemed the guarantor of the Western and Central New York Chapter.
